Then he and his group took turns reading lines from the book. They would read something and pass the microphone off to the next person. Ben was pretty good and projected his voice most of the time. I was very proud of him and had a tear in my eye for part of it.
Here is his entire class with his teacher.
There was food to snack on afterwards, so we visited with grandma and grandpa Reid and daddy while eating.
Here are a few pictures of Lauren in her apron and playing at her kitchen. She likes to pretend to make us coffee, eggs and cookies. She is really starting to get into pretending. She has been carrying around one of her "my little ponies" and wrapping it up in her blanket and pretending to put it to bed. I do think it is odd that she has several actual baby dolls, but she chooses a little pony to play with instead....HA :-)
Lauren at the YMCA while Ben has his swim lesson.
Ben jumping into the pool!! He has done soooo much better with swimming the past year. He used to be so afraid of it all. Now he can almost swim without his life vest. So proud of him!!!!
I took yesterday off work and went with Ben's class on a field trip. We went to the Dallas Aqaurium. He seemed to like it okay, but we were done WAY before it was time to go.
Here is Ben in the shark tank. See the shark behind him?
Last night, we had an awards ceremony for Ben's cub scout group. At the campout that Rodney and Ben went to at the beginning of April, they had a competition for the parents for the "Golden Spoon Award". And guess who won this time??? Yes, Rodney won with his Pineapple Upside Down Cake in the camping dutch oven he had. He was very excited about it!! So they presented him with the award last night. It has his name and date on it and it will be passed on to the next winner at the next campout.
Ben received a BUNCH of awards. Or actually he got belt loops. About 14 of them!
We are busy tomorrow and next weekend with cub scouts too. Ben really enjoys it!
